In fashion photography, the clothing is the main focus point. To display as much of it as possible, I decided to create colorful backdrops with different clothing items and let the model lay on top of it. The clothes are laid out in a way that draws the eye to the model without losing the mosaic effect that the patterns create.
The photos are meant to be an advertising for a fictional firm. I imagined their style to be colorful, versatile and bold. Therefore, I chose to use colorful clothes with patterns. To not overwhelm the viewer and give a more monochrome look, I sorted them by color. But the three different colored settings all compliment each other because their structure is the same: the model is always laying down and I always photographed her from the same angle.
The model Jette fit this photoshoot perfectly for several reasons. She is not only a natural beauty, but also has a very pure, almost alternative vibe to her because of her dreads, which compliment the patterns nicely. I decided to support this by having her be barefoot. The strong makeup and the dresses are contrasting that impression nicely and make the photos look high-fashion.
