Laura

My first print product that I ever created was one about my best friend Laura. She has always had a huge influence on my life.

We have known each other for 17 years at this point (and we are both 19 years old) and are inseparable. There aren´t many people that I share so many memories and interests with. She always supported me and made me follow my dreams with her by my side. Without her, I would´t be where I am today. This project is to show her how important she is to me and to thank her for all of the visits, photo shoots, girl´s night out´s, endless conversations and constant support.

The magazine should be how Laura is – fun and colorful. The topics are carefully chosen to give the reader a glimpse into her personality. The colors are bright, but there is a lot of white space to balance it out. To lead through the magazine, I created some abstract forms that I always placed the headlines in. The general font is a modern sans serif, but the headlines are all written in Laura´s handwriting. I enjoyed to add as many personal touches as I possibly could, but also make the magazine interesting to readers by including such things as Berlin food tips.
