All of the photos are self portraits.
My grandmother was one of the most amazing and kind women I know. She always looked out for others and did not have a bad bone in her body. I really miss her.
All of the pictures were taken in her favorite room of her house, the “gute Stube”. My goal with this photo series was not only to feel close to her, but also to experience a location that I have known for my whole life and spent every christmas in differently. That is why I put it in the context of a fashion shoot, but with a snapshot character. To make the room and all of it´s wild patterns stand out, I decided to only wear black clothes. The accessories actually belonged to my grandma (the veil even was her original wedding headpiece).
This photoshoot was very important to me. I hope you like it.
